Why can’t you tickle yourself?

Why can’t we tickle ourselves when we can be tickled by other people? One reason is because our brain can efficiently distinguish the touch that is produced by our movements from the touch that is produced by other people. We will discuss how the brain is performing this distinction, and more particularly how it makes self-generated touch feel weaker and the touch produced by others feel stronger.

Stockholm, Schools, and Skills: How my students and I use new technology

In Sweden, new school learning outcomes center around requirements to achieve “Computational Thinking” and “Programming” in compulsory education. I will talk about how my students and I use simple and understandable ways to enhance classroom content with technology connected to real life problems, and how we think we can use components related to AI to see how well we are doing.
